The last 20 minutes of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood is crazy as hell and Tyler argues that Sharon Tate felt forced.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold – 9/19
Dora and the Lost City of Gold was our first punishment film. Did we still find any entertainment? And there is a song about poop? What?
Rambo: Last Blood – 10/19
Rambo: Last Blood was surprisingly a TON of fun. Ridiculous? Yes, but there were some bold directorial choices and great action scenes that make you leave feeling like a champion.
Doctor Sleep – 11/19
Ewan McGregor was fantastic and there were excellent moments of nostalgia, but we had a few issues with Doctor Sleep.
Knives Out – 12/19
Knives Out was a classic whodunnit. A twisty tale driving the twist mobile in twist city on a twistin’ good night.
Uncut Gems – 1/20
Our first major disagreement on a film and the first movie we review of this decade. However, we both agree Adam Sandler KILLED it in Uncut Gems.
Gretel & Hansel – 2/20
We are back in agreement with this one. Strong atmosphere can’t save terrible pacing issues and poor acting by Sophia Lillis in Gretel & Hansel.
Onward – 3/20
We tackle our first animated film as we watch Disney Pixar’s Onward. Was the brother’s adventure a hit with us? Did Pixar force Chris Pratt to do is his best Jack Black impression?
Horse Girl – 4/20
With social distancing in full-swing, we use Netflix and Netflix Party to watch Horse Girl. From crafting to horses to aliens, there is A LOT going on in this movie. But does it work out in the end?
